The qualifications for membership in the Ohio School Counselor Association include:

Any person who:

  1. is currently employed as a school counselor,
  2. is enrolled in a degree program which would qualify them to be a school counselor,
  3. is retired from the profession as a school counselor, or
  4. holds any and all necessary licenses or certificates which are required of a school counselor regardless of whether currently serving in said position, and who meets any other uniform requirements set by the Board of Directors.
